Important Deadlines

Student Accounts

• Spring semester e-statements are available from Student Accounts the first week of December 2023 with payment due January 10, 2024, for balances owed. Once the e-statement is released, students and families are able to enroll in the term payment plan if desired.
• Form 1098-T for student and family 2023 federal tax preparations will be available at the end of January 2024. This process is completed with partner ECSI, and additional information for students and families can be found on the ECSI website (including how to opt in for electronic notification when the form is available; deadline to do so is January 1, 2024).

Financial Aid

• Priority 2024–25 application deadline for returning students is extended to March 1, 2024, due to delayed release of 24–25 FAFSA.
• Students participating in Spring 2024 off-campus study programs: credit balances from excess financial aid can be refunded two weeks prior to departure date. If there is an anticipated credit on the spring bill, request an early release of the credit balance from the Office of Student Accounts.
• Spring 2024 financial aid will be disbursed on January 15, 2024. Domestic students who have submitted a 23–24 FAFSA can request federal direct loans through their Financial Aid Portal. Submit loan requests by January 8, 2024 for disbursement on January 15, 2024.

• Residence Halls Open
• Frank Dining Hall Open 8 a.m.–10 p.m.
• Jan. 21:
• Frank Dining Hall Open 8 a.m.–midnight
• Hieber Cafe open 9 a.m.–midnight
• Coop open 5–8 p.m.
• Jan. 21–31 Drop-Add Period
• Jan. 22: 
• First Day of Classes
• Regular dining hours begin

• Feb. 7: Off-Campus Study Approved Programs application deadline (Fall 2024/Spring 2025)

*Except for students with prior approval from Residential Life

2024 Salmagundi Yearbook

Colgate is proud of the Salmagundi’s strong tradition and the memories the yearbook will hold for your student, and the staff is working hard to create a fitting memento.

Early order pricing is available until Dec. 15, but families have until May to place an order for the 2024 Salmagundi.

Note: Senior portraits are handled by Prestige Photography; separate communications are sent to seniors and their families about portrait shoots and orders from that company.

Holiday Open House
On December 8, 9, and 10, take 13% off the entire store & website (some exclusions apply). 

Spring Textbook Orders
Students can have their textbooks waiting for them in their residence hall when they return from winter break. Online textbook ordering begins January 11 via their student toolbox on Colgate’s Portal. 

Orders by January 17 provide the option of free delivery to the common area of the student’s on-campus residence.
