Financial Aid Updates
Spring 2025 Financial Aid Disbursements
Spring 2025 financial aid is scheduled to disburse on January 13, 2025. After the Office of Student Accounts assesses spring 2025 charges, spring financial aid should display as a memo (an anticipated credit) towards those charges. If an anticipated financial aid memo is missing from your student’s first spring billing notification, contact Financial Aid at finaid@colgate.edu.

2025–2026 Returning Student Financial Aid Requirements
Domestic students must reapply for financial aid each academic year. Both the 2025–26 CSS Profile and the 2025–26 FAFSA are available now for students to complete. Students should log in to the Colgate Financial Aid Portal to view their financial aid application requirements.
For assistance in completing the 2025–26 FAFSA Form, students can review these pro tips from the Department of Education and resources such as the “Who’s the Parent on the FAFSA Form?” Wizard.

A Guide to Adjustments and Reasonable Accommodations for Housing
For students with documented disabilities who need specific adjustments for their living environments, navigating the housing selection process involves an additional layer. The application process for the 2025–2026 academic year will open on January 3, 2025; complete applications are due by February 7, 2025. Colgate’s executive director of Student Disability Services shares answers to common questions.

Spring Textbook Orders
Students can have their textbooks waiting for them in their residence hall when they return from winter break. Online textbook ordering begins January 9, 2025, via their student toolbox on Colgate’s Portal.
Orders by January 15, 2025, provide the option of free delivery to the common area of the student’s on-campus residence.

Important To-Dos and Dates
Student Accounts
- Spring semester e-statements are available from Student Accounts the first week of December 2024 with payment due January 10, 2025, for balances owed. Once the e-statement is released, students and families are able to enroll in the term payment plan if desired.
- Form 1098-T for student and family 2024 federal tax preparations will be available at the end of January 2025. This process is completed with partner ECSI. To give consent to receive your 1098-T form electronically, please follow these instructions. New this year: Access the 1098-T from TouchNet, in addition to ECSI.
