Advance to Gate 3
|
Colgate advanced to Gate 3 on Tuesday morning, following a reduction in positive cases on campus. Our thoughts are with the students still in isolation and those in close contact quarantine.
In announcing the shift to Gate 3, Vice President Laura Jack thanked students, faculty members, and staff members for their flexibility and understanding as they have endured this semester. “We have become accustomed to any number of pandemic scenarios, but going backward on our Gate number isn’t one of them,” she said. “It was a source of understandable stress, but you rallied, and the results are trending in the right direction. This good news comes as we continue to plan for campus events.”

Voluntary COVID-19 Antigen Testing
|
Students seeking voluntary antigen testing were offered clinics this week, on Tuesday and Thursday. These tests, free of charge, are specifically for anyone who is concerned about exposure, or for those who are planning on departing campus for any reason. Those whose schedules conflict with the two testing days can contact Student Health Services to make an appointment.

Message of Support
Dawn LaFrance, director of Counseling and Psychological Services and director of sexual violence support, shared the following message with the campus community earlier this week
“In two weeks, students will begin taking finals. This semester has been a long journey for all of us. We have encountered many uncertainties and setbacks, but we have also seen remarkable resilience and strength. We are almost there. During these final weeks of the semester, please remember to take care of yourselves and those around you: rest, eat well, take breaks, and use your time wisely. If you are in need of support, there are many people in your Colgate community who want to help you. Counseling center staff are ready to assist, and they have crisis/consultation hours available M–F 1:30-4:30 p.m. — no appointment necessary. Call, email, or use our Appointment Request Form. We are all rooting for you. Stay determined and see the light at the end of the tunnel!”
