Pre-Summer Career Development Check-In
Before your student wraps up the academic year, they are highly encouraged to meet with one of our professional career advisers to create a personalized action plan for the summer. Advisers can introduce students to new industries, help them develop compelling application documents, teach networking and interviewing skills, and help them think through skills or experiences they may want to add to their portfolio this summer. Appointments are available Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m., and can be scheduled by visiting colgate.edu/ccsadvising.

Face Time with Campus Safety
Students can visit informally — and nosh on tacos and other light refreshments — with Colgate’s campus safety team on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:30–7:30 p.m. in the Coop lounge. This is an opportunity for students to engage with the staff and talk about whatever is on their minds. Conversation themes come from topics suggested through an online survey sent to students.

Morning Reflection
The Colgate chaplains invite the community to gather for sacred pause and brief encounters with the diverse religions and spiritual and secular practices represented in our community. All are welcome, every Wednesday morning for 15 minutes of music, a reading or prayer, and brief reflection, led by a member of the Colgate community. Learn more and view the spring lineup of speakers.

Peer Coaching
Through Colgate’s new peer coaching program, students can schedule 1:1 appointments with a fellow student who is trained to talk with them about challenges they're facing or changes they are looking to make. Sessions might include topics such as stress or time management, sleep hygiene, loneliness, or isolation. The program is offered through the Shaw Wellness Institute in collaboration with the Office of Counseling and Psychological Services and Chapel House.

Public Health
Given our current pandemic status, the Colgate Together Digest has become an as-needed publication moving forward. In related COVID-19 news, the Health Analytics Team has launched a new, streamlined COVID-19 dashboard.
