It’s Official! Raiders Champs of ECAC Hockey

Trophy Presentation This Afternoon; Colgate Hosts Tournament Semifinals Friday

HAMILTON -- Colgate captured its second ECAC Hockey women's regular season championship in the last four seasons -- and this one won't be shared!

The Raiders fashioned a 13-6-1 overall record and were 8-4-0 in ECAC play despite Covid-related stops and starts throughout. One Colgate victory over the weekend at Quinnipiac and a pair of Clarkson losses to St. Lawrence made it official.Womens Hockey Championship Graphic

The Raiders are receiving the official congratulations from ECAC Hockey Commissioner Steve Hagwell this afternoon at the Class of 1965 Arena.

Colgate is now set to host the conference semifinals this Friday on ESPN+ against the No. 4 seeded Quinnipiac. Colgate also would host Sunday's championship game should the Raiders advance.

Colgate's first title in program history came in 2018-19, but that one was shared with Clarkson. Colgate and Clarkson then advanced all the way to the NCAA championship game, where the Raiders lost an overtime heartbreaker.
