Vaccine Transportation Assistance

Back to Updates & Messages: COVID-19

Dear Colgate Community,

Colgate University is sponsoring free transportation to two local vaccination sites within Madison County starting tomorrow, 3/17/21.

The Madison County Department of Health is conducting vaccinations at SUNY Morrisville and the Hamilton Masonic Lodge on route 12B. Appointments are available at Morrisville and at the Masonic Lodge, for anyone eligible for vaccination. Please note that Colgate will not be offering transportation to locations outside of these two sites.

Starting tomorrow, 3/17/21, all shuttles will depart from in front of James C. Colgate Hall (Donovan’s Pub).

  • The Morrisville shuttle will run in 40-minute intervals, with departures starting at 9:40 a.m. and final service at 5:20 p.m.
  • The Hamilton Masonic Lodge shuttle will run in 20-minute intervals, with departures starting at 12:40 p.m. and final service at 3 p.m.
  • All shuttles are running on a first-come, first-served basis.

Shuttles to Morrisville will continue with the same schedule on March 18 and 19, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. These are currently the only scheduled dates for transportation to vaccine sites, but Colgate will reevaluate future transportation needs based on vaccine availability and community demand.

I encourage any eligible student, including those who are public-facing student workers, to sign up to be vaccinated. Colgate will run follow-up shuttles for second doses of the Pfizer vaccine in three weeks and Moderna vaccine in four weeks.

Respectfully,

Dan Gough
